Our beautiful waterside holiday cottage on the South Snowdon Wharf at Porthmadog harbour has fabulous estuary views to the mountains.

“The Lookout Porthmadoc. Excellent location for touring Snowdonia, the Lynn peninsula. Not to mention the narrow gauge railways and portmeirion plus local castles . The Lookout is available for week long stays, starting Fridays throughout the year, as well as weekend and midweek short breaks in the off peak season.
The stylish and relaxing interior design was by Rosie Holden. This self catering home has every modern feature including luxury kitchen, Nespresso machine, fast WiFi, smart TV and Alexa.
“This was the best equipped and well presented holiday cottage we’ve ever stayed in. Everything was thought out. Fully equiped kitchen with all the mod cons, a nespresso machine, plus Alexa. We had cake and milk in the fridge on arrival. Plus, a warm welcome from Alan. The location was perfect for exploring , we never used the car once and got to where we needed by foot or train.. Short and Long Winter stays
Winter is the most spectactular time of year on the estuary. The light on the mountains changes by the minute. Portmeirion is open year round and has a food festival in early December. The Ffestiniog Railway has special trains including a Santa Express?

Black Rock Sands
You can walk from The Lookout past the charming estuary village of Borth-y-Gest to Black Rock Sands or take the car and drive onto the beach.
Wildlife, bird watching and nature reserves
Your wildlife and bird watching can start on the balcony. We regularly see herons, seals and many varieties of wading birds. There are also nature reserves in the locality.
