Creative Photography Courses

The idea behind these courses is to learn by doing. You will experience how to unlock your creativity and boost your picture taking skills by learning techniques used by professional photographers. The course content is based on what you want to learn whether landscape, portrait, people, glamour and fashion - it's your choice.

The course is aimed at any level from just starting out to the experienced photographer looking to take their photography to a higher level. Ideally you will have a DSLR camera with manual controls. If you would like to borrow a DSLR camera to try before you buy I can lend you one.

One to One Day Courses are £265. Vouchers are available and make a great present

One to One courses take place where you would like to go, the Downs, Brighton seafront, Hastings - anywhere!

Fashion and glamour shoots

Why not experience working with a professional model who will work with you to create a stunning set of pictures. These sessions are designed for studio and location so the weather is not a problem.

Small Group Courses

These courses are limited to four people so you have maximum tuition. They are based in Brighton or Hastings or on the Downs for landscape photography. Favoured locations are the Downs between Lewes and Glyndebourne or at Birling Gap and the Belle Toute lighthouse area.

The Course fee is £95 per person

Lunch is at a pub and is an additional cost. Model fees are divided between the delegates.


The course covers:

• Exposure
• Shooting in various lighting conditions - bright sunlight/shade/low light/using reflectors
• The art of composition
• ISO, shutter speeds, f stops, manual settings
• Learning to see the light and training the eye to see picture opportunities
• File formats-jpeg,tiffs,raw, transfer, storage, printing and display

At the end of the course you will have a set of practical ways you can apply to improve your photography. Your enjoyment from using your camera will increase tenfold as you apply the key techniques and begin to see with a new eye. Plus it's a great day out!
